Getting Started

How do I sign up?

Click "Sign Up" in the navigation or on the homepage. Create an account with your email and password, then add your child's information to start receiving messages!

Is there a cost?

No! ElfTexts.com is completely free. We believe every child should experience the magic of the holiday season. If you'd like to support us, there's an optional donation option, but it's never required.

What information do I need to provide?

You'll need to provide your child's name, phone number (for receiving MMS messages), and optionally their age and timezone. You can also add custom information like favorite colors or hobbies that might be used in personalized messages.

Can I add multiple children?

Yes! You can add multiple children to your account. Each child will receive their own personalized messages based on their profile information.

How It Works

When will my child receive messages?

Messages are scheduled throughout December. You can set your preferred time zone and preferred send time for each child. Messages are sent at the time you specify in your child's local timezone.

What kind of messages will my child receive?

Each message is personalized with your child's name and information. Messages may include fun questions, holiday activities, and magical moments from Santa's elves. Some messages may include images like elves or reindeer!

Can my child reply to messages?

Currently, the system sends messages one-way. If your child replies, the messages are not automatically processed. However, we're working on adding reply functionality in the future!

How are messages personalized?

Messages use your child's name, age, and any custom information you've provided (like favorite color or hobbies). Each message is crafted to feel personal and magical!

Troubleshooting

My child isn't receiving messages

First, check that your child's profile is marked as "Active" and that the phone number is correct (including country code, e.g., +1234567890). Make sure your timezone is set correctly so messages are sent at the right time. If messages still don't arrive, check your spam folder or contact us.

I need to update my child's information

You can edit your child's profile at any time! Go to "My Children" in your dashboard, click on the child's name, and select "Edit" to update their information.

I want to change my timezone

You can update your timezone in your profile settings. Go to "My Profile" and edit your timezone. You can also set a specific timezone for each individual child if needed.

How do I unsubscribe or remove my child?

You can deactivate your child's profile at any time by going to "My Children", selecting the child, and toggling them to "Inactive". This will stop new messages from being sent. You can reactivate them anytime!

I forgot my password

Password reset functionality is coming soon! For now, please contact us if you need to reset your password.
